Updated plans were shared with the Dartmouth community in June, followed by a series of meetings throughout the summer to solicit feedback from the community. Then, based on feedback from residents in the Lyme Road area and others, the proposal was revised and shifted across the road to the site of the former golf course. In early 2022, Dartmouth proposed that the project be sited on the east side of Lyme Road. In addition to site plan approval from the Planning Board, Dartmouth will need a special exception from the Hanover Zoning Board of Adjustment to build a student residence in the institution zoning district. The purpose of design review is to provide a full understanding of the site’s potential, to carefully evaluate natural constraints, aesthetic concerns, and development options, to identify and consider concerns of the neighbors, to identify any municipal infrastructure limitations, and to facilitate effective exchange with the Planning Board, according to the town’s site plan regulations. ![]() 1 at Town Hall and is open to the public.
